ROTDORE Update (3/31)

Welcome back ROTDORE fans and anyone who is interested in the project! The Local Rag is here to say Happy Spring and Happy April! The team has a few exciting updates to share with you!

PROGRAMMING

The programmers are currently adding a notepad and a messaging system into the game!

The notepad is being added due to feedback from players like you! We've been told that people, especially those who are hyperactive, often find it hard to stay interested even with the ability to listen and fill out the panels at the same time. The notepad will give all players, especially those that fall into this category, to have something to do while listening to the audio!

We will test this ASAP and if we see that we need to add more, we will get to it!

What about the messaging system? This system gives the player a chance to see the impact of their choices! Depending on the article, they may hear from someone who was involved in the previous story, which will give the player even more pressure as they edit their paper.

NARRATIVE

The narrative designers are currently writing messages that will appear depending on the type of article you receive from the previous story!

GAME DESIGN

The game designers have finished the Side Article System! This was a prototype in earlier builds, but it is now fully implemented and working. Depending on your choices in Story 1, you will see an article appear in Story 2, showing what happened as the result of your first paper!

AUDIO

We have all of our audios for Story 2! It's now time for us to copy them to the cassettes so we can start playtesting hybrid Story 2!

UI/UX

The art for the messaging system is in! We will be working on the notepad and the game's color scheme next!

With that being said, we have exciting news!

We're on the move! We will be showing our game at Waffles Games on the 15th. The team will be there all day so if you're attending, feel free to say hi!

Other than that, enjoy the rest of your day and thank you for your continued support!
